Health Status and Chronic Disease Burden of the Homeless Population An Analysis of Two Decades of Electronic Medical Records (Poster)

Abstract

Our objective was to describe the demographics and comorbidity burden of persons experiencing homelessness in northeast Ohio and compare this to non-homeless individuals. We extracted housing status from a multi-institutional EHR registry and evaluated the presence of a number of important comorbidities. Two comparison populations were created using the Area Deprivation Index (ADI).
